Dillon Farmer’s Market

Winter Park is part of the greater Central Colorado region and is found nearby many different local communities that are easy to get to. This includes the town of Dillon that is a quick drive from many of our vacation rentals. The Dillon Farmer’s Market is a favorite in the region offering a delightful selection of local vendors and farmers operating various stands. This market is on the smaller side but still offers plenty for you to peruse. Local farmers provide freshly grown produce that is often organic making it ideal for a meal back at your vacation rental. Additional vendors vary throughout the season but ones that have been spotted before include cheese stands, baked goods, artisanal salts, handcrafted soaps, crepe stands, jewelry, clothing, and much more. You can even find Colorado-themed souvenir items that will make great gifts for someone back home.

The market is free to attend and is open during the warmer months of the year; the 2024 market will open up on June 7th and remain open until September 13th. The Dillon Farmer’s Market will be open on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM off Lake Dillon Drive. The market is found right at the side of Lake Dillon making it an ideal spot for a day trip by the lake. Enjoy a bike ride along the bike path that surrounds the mountain. While Lake Dillon does not allow swimming or water contact activities you will find the views to be truly amazing right by the water.

Music & Market

Another nearby community that features a lovely market to enjoy is the town of Granby. This smaller Colorado town is a short drive from Winter Park and offers their weekly market, Music & Market. This is not your standard but instead a gathering of locals and visitors who wish to an evening full of local vendors and fun and excitement. The Music & Market is a weekly market located Polhamus Park in Downtown Granby. It is a seasonal event with a new market each week for you to peruse. The 2023 schedule started at the end of June and ran through most of August for 8 weeks of fun. While the 2024 schedule is not yet available, you are sure to be in for quite a bit of excitement.

Music & Market hosts a new live band each week with the music starting at 8:30 PM. Grab a seat and enjoy the incredible tunes of local musicians who will have everyone jamming along. Last year’s artists included Wave 11, Steve Skinner & Friends, Andy Straus Duo, and much more. The rest of the market is your typical farmers market complete with a variety of vendor stations.

Enjoy fresh and locally sourced produce that includes eggs, vegetables, fruit, meat, honey, and more. This is a great way to stock up on healthy ingredients to have for meals back at your vacation rental. There will also be local food trucks on hand to so make sure you show up hungry and ready to dive into some incredible food. The adults can grab a pint of their favorite craft beer or another adult beverage when they stop inside the beer garden. There will be children’s activities too for the kids and friendly dogs on a leash are always invited to the fun as well. Don’t miss out on Music & Market that takes place every Thursday during the summer season in Granby. The 2024 schedule is expected to be made available in the near future.

Breckenridge Sunday Market

For those who wish to make a bit of a further drive they can always head over to Breckenridge for their Sunday Market. This weekly market will kick off in June for the 2024 season and brings in 40 vendors all along Main Street Station. The drive can be a bit on the longer side but makes for a fun day trip for those having an extended stay in Winter Park. Hours are from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each Sunday while the market is in session.
